About Chef Mike

Chef Michael knew from Day 1 that someday this would be the path he would take.

His father was an Executive Chef in New York, his mother was a very popular caterer in Kentucky, and grandparents’ small farmers in low country South Carolina.

So, whether it was Caviar or Collard Greens, he was ready for the task.  In 2017, he told his Pastor that he was going to go “ALL OUT” for 1 year and see if a career in catering and as a private chef was possible.  He knew that he wanted to be the line between beautiful presentation chef cuisine and catering for groups of any size.  He has an unlimited knowledge of several cuisines from executive to low country.

In 2020, when COVID-19 struck, he pivoted into private in-home culinary experiences with couples and small groups.  The relationships he made propelled his business post COVID and became Corporate partners with several local companies.  He and his staff began traveling across the country for private Clients as well as Celebrities and Professional Athletes and are known for their incredible food and beautifully unique presentation.

KMS Culinary started as a small family business with Chef Michael at the head and has grown into an Event Catering, Private Chef, Professional Food Styling and now Mentoring Hub.

Chef Michael and KMS’s long term goal is to continue to expand the Brand through our upcoming retail products, LOADED PECANS and BOURBON CHERRIES CHEESECAKE.  They will also continue mentoring Chefs, Catering Companies, and Small Businesses.  And then finally, opening their own venue in the very near future.
